There was a report of a hit-and-run traffic accident in the 900 block of Ollie Street. A white pickup truck had run thru a yard and stopped. Two subjects took off running from the scene on foot. An officer on the scene reported that the pickup truck was incapacitated. A wrecker was called and a hold was placed on the vehicle. Later in the night, a caller advised that he had a picked up a subject in the area and that he had him sitting in his pickup and that he was bloody. EMS was paged to the location for a subject with a severe hand injury and did transport the patient to Stephenville ER. A second male subject who was a passenger from this accident arrested for public intoxication.

EMS was paged to the intersection of US281N and Lingleville Road for a report of a vehicle vs a pedestrian accident. The caller advised that they had hit something but they were not sure what it was. A second caller advised that there was a body lying on the side of the road. Officers on the scene reported that this was a casualty and that they had the impact scene blocked off. A judge on the scene requested that a funeral home be called.

There was a report of a hit-and-run traffic accident that occurred in the 2500 block of West Washington. The caller stated a female driver hit their vehicle and fled the scene. The caller was following the vehicle and left as it left the city limits and turned onto Landfill Road. The vehicle did come off of CR351 and turned left US377 near Dublin and was heading south toward Comanche County on US377. DPD was able to stop the vehicle in Comanche County and it was reported that both vehicles were going to return to Stephenville to talk to an SPD officer in the Bosque River Center parking lot.

A caller reported that an elderly female walk into a residence and started folding blankets and that the caller did not know the female and that the subject did have a half-bald head and that she was pulling at her hair. Officers responded to the location and spotted the subject walking away from the residence and that she was not responding to the officer’s request to stop. Officers were able to detain the subject and asked for EMS to respond to check her out and they did leave the scene with no transport. An officer did mention that they were on public service with APS. I am assuming that this would be Adult Protective Services but not for sure.

Just FYI

I received my first Covid-19 shot this morning at The Erath County Vaccination Center and I would like to say that I was very impressed with their setup and quickly they moved everyone thru. My arm is sore but besides that and some chills about 2 hours after the shot, I have had no issues. Kudos to the people at the Vaccination Center!

There was a report of a head-on collision on US67N at SH220. The initial report was that there was entrapment and a possible ejection. Erath, Hico, and Selden Fire were paged to the location. The reporting party stated that there was one person lying on the roadway and that there were people trapped in a vehicle and one of them possibly had a broken leg and an arm injury. The person that was thought to have been ejected did actually crawl of a vehicle and was not ejected. The three patients that were trapped in the vehicle reported to have been stable. Air Evac 69 out of Granbury was asked to launch to the scene and Air Evac 155 was asked to respond as well. Erath Medic One did transport one patient to Stephenville ER code three. Air Evac 69 did lift and was en route to JPS Fort Worth. Air Evac 115 lifted and was en route to JPS Forth Worth also. Two wreckers were called.

A caller reported that this was a large fire and that there was someone out with the fire on a tractor. This turned out to be a controlled burn and incoming units were canceled and returned to the station.

There was a report of a three-vehicle traffic accident on US377N toward Bluff Dale near CR474. The roadway was reported to have been blocked. A caller reported that it looked like the passengers were in shock but there were no apparent injuries. EMS arriving on the scene reported that everyone was out of the vehicles and did clear the scene with no transport. A wrecker was called.

There was a report of a two-vehicle traffic accident in the 1100 block of West Lingleville Road with reported airbag deployment. One occupant did have a gash above the eye. Two wreckers were called.

The caller reported that the vehicle left the scene heading west on the US377 loop and the vehicle had severe damage on the right side and was squealing as it left the scene. Officers responded and stated that the vehicle had lost a lot of fluid and that it was not going far. The vehicle was located at the Shell Station at the intersection of South Loop and Graham Street. The standard field sobriety test was conducted and the subject was arrested for DWI.
