These scanner calls occurred between 10:00 pm Thursday and 10:00 PM Friday

County

There was a report of a storage barn that was on fire on CR385. A caller reported that there were some electrical wires burning nearby and that there was no one near the fire. Erath Fire units arriving on the scene reported a 400 foot by 400 foot building fully involved with a house nearby. The fire was contained.

There was a report of a vehicle that took out several mail mailboxes on CR351. The white Dodge pickup was reported to have heavy front end damage. A headlight was left at the scene.

There was a report of a vehicle vs a tree on US281N about 8 miles north of Morgan Mill. A caller reported that they stopped and got a female out of the vehicle and that they had her in their vehicle. The female was reported to have been distraught and could have been having a panic attack. Units on the scene reported that the roadway was not blocked and that the roadway was slick. TxDOT was asked to respond to sand the road.

There was a report of a traffic accident on US281N near FM4. Erath and Palo Pinto were paged to the location.

There was a report of a minor traffic accident in the P36 parking lot. Three vehicles were involved. An officer responded to the scene. A wrecker was needed to pull one vehicle off another.

There was a report of a theft. A caller reported that her bicycle was stolen. An officer responded.

There was a report of a minor traffic accident in the HEB Grocery parking lot. No injuries reported.

There was a report of a counterfeit $20 that was passed at the Adult Probation Office. An officer responded.

There was a report of a traffic hazard on the South Loop in front of Ace Hardware. A caller reported that a truck had spilled some animal guts on the roadway. The truck was still on the scene and was blocking traffic. An officer responded to the location and reported that there was a second accident involving an onlooker in the westbound lane. The officer asked for EMS to respond for an injured female subject and did leave the scene with no transport. Units arriving on the scene reported two vehicles involved and an eighteen-wheeler that appeared to be hauling animal carcasses. A wrecker and a sand truck were asked to respond. Traffic was being diverted down Harbin drive.

There was a report of a theft. A caller advised that a male subject had stolen a large television and some other items from Wal-Mart. The subject was reported to have left the parking lot. An officer responded to the location and searched the area. I did not hear if they located the subject.
