Units on the scene report that the vehicles will be in the turn lane.

Officers report that the roadway is clear. They have moved the vehicles off to the side. EMS has not been called.

Fatality Accident

Report of a traffic accident in front of Dollar General at 170 Morgan Mill Road. The initial report there is a fatality from this accident. First Responders are en route.

Units on the scene reported two vehicles involved with one patient still in the vehicle.

EMS on the scene has asked for air medical to respond to Clark Field.

EMS on the scene has asked for Air Evac 69 will be instructed to land at the scene right next to Dollar General.

Unit on the scene reports that Air Evac is on the ground.

Command on the scene reports that Air Evac has lifted and is en route to JPS Fort Worth. This was the passenger of one of the vehicles.

One subject on the scene has been arrested for DWI. This subject does have a prior DWI charge but no convictions.

EMS Unit 329 have left the scene with no transport.

5:37 PM

The Justice of the Peace has been called to the scene.

5:55 PM

Officers are en route to Stephenville ER with the subject arrested for DWI for a blood draw.

A funeral home has been called and two wreckers are en route.

The funeral home and JP have cleared the scene. Officers report that the roadway is open.

Fatality Vehicle Accident Investigation
01/20/2019

The Stephenville Police Department is investigating a fatality vehicle accident that occurred this afternoon at approximately 3:55 P.M. in the 100 Block of Morgan Mill Road. One vehicle was a Black 2013 Dodge pickup driven by Justin Schrader and occupied by another male. The second vehicle was a Red 2004 Dodge Neon with two occupants. Justin Brian Schrader, W/M 24 was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. A male passenger was released at the scene. A 38-year-old male passenger of the Dodge Neon was transported to JPS Hospital by helicopter, the 40-year-old female driver was pronounced deceased at the scene by Judge Greenway. The cause of the accident is still under investigation and the names of the injured and deceased are being held pending family notifications.

EMS and SPD are on the scene at Jack in the Box at 2801 West Wahington for a male subject who was passed out in near the scene. EMS on the scene has just asked for air medical to respond to Clark Field.

10:39 PM

Air Evac 69 has accepted the call. ETA is 20 minutes.

10:40 PM

A family member of the subject has been notified and is en route to the scene to pick up a vehicle which has a dog inside.

10:55 PM

EMS Unit 330 is en route to the airport.

11:02 PM

EMS is on the scene at Clark Field. The helo is landing at this time.

There was a report of a fight in progress at Rockin P Bar and Grill on the square. The fight was reported to have been started inside the building and moved to the parking lot. The suspects had left the scene before officers could arrive.

There was a report of a minor traffic accident on Interstate 20 westbound. The caller advised that she had a flat tire and hit a road sign. No injuries were reported and the DPS responded to the scene and reported that there was not any major damage. The driver did have a roadside service en route.

There was a report of a grass fire on CR194. This was reported to be a brush pile that had become out of control. Erath and Bluff Dale Fire were paged to the scene. This was near the Hood County line and Hood County responded as well.

There was a report of a traffic accident on CR148 near Bluff Dale. A vehicle left the roadway and the driver was reported to be banged up and bit his tongue. Erath and Bluff Dale Responders were dispatched to the scene.

SPD received a report of multiple gunshots coming from a location on West Long Street. A caller reported that there were several subjects banging on a door of a residence and that there was a disturbance in the street. Officers responded and reported that they had a cleared a residence and asked for CID (Criminal Investigation Department) to respond. A black Cadillac was reported to have left the scene. SPD received another report of a female subject that had admitted herself into the Stephenville ER with a gunshot wound to the hand and stated that the front door had been kicked in and she had been robbed. This is an ongoing investigation.

SPD performed a traffic stop near the City Park. A positive canine alert was detected on the vehicle and a probable cause search was conducted on the vehicle. No drugs were found but the subject was arrested for DWLI. A wrecker was called.

There was a report of a one-vehicle traffic accident on FM1188W at CR139. Units arriving on the scene reported one vehicle off the roadway with no road blockage. Morgan Mill units on the scene reported that the female occupant was out and walking around. Erath Med One did leave the scene with no transport.

There was a report of smoke in a bar ditch on FM8 near Lingleville. Lingleville Fire was paged to the scene to spray some water on it.

There was a report of a strong odor of gas on US281N about three miles south of Morgan Mill. Erath and Morgan Mill fire was paged to the scene. This was reported to be normal gas discharge from a pipeline in the area. A technician for the pipeline company was asked to come to the scene.

There was a report on a vehicle that was pulling a trailer with no tires on the rim and the wheels were sparking. The vehicle was in Comanche County and heading into Erath County on US377. I did not hear any more on this call.

There was a report of a traffic accident on FM914 at CR246. This was reported to be a one-vehicle rollover. The initial report was that there was a child in the vehicle and an adult. Both patients were reported to be out of the vehicle. A Deputy on the scene reported that there was power line pole damage. Erath Medic One did transport one patient to Stephenville ER. A wrecker was called.

No injuries were reported.  The semi was reported to have three big rolls of paper that were on the roadway and in the ditch. TxDOT was notified for reports of guardrail damage on the overpass. A wrecker was called.
