Theft

Around 3:00 AM this morning SPD received a report of a break-in that occurred at Wrangler’s Convenience Store on Lingleville Road. Officers responded to the scene and reported that the building had been hit and that the ATM had been dismantled also the back doors of the business had been rammed by a vehicle. The owner of the business stated that they had a video of the incident that they would share with officers. A second officer reported that they located a white Ford pickup with an ATM in the back driving down Lingleville Road. A high-speed pursuit began and continued north on Ben Hogan Boulevard and onto Prairie Wind Boulevard where officers reported that they lost sight of the vehicle after it drove into a field. The vehicle was located abandoned in the Bosque River near the soccer fields and a search of the area began. The suspect, in this case, is reported to be a white male with dark hair a beard and wearing a white shirt and ball cap according to surveillance video. After an extensive search including dogs, the suspect has not been found at this time as of 9:00 AM.




Theft

Delayed Post for Officer Safety.

At around 9:00 PM SPD was paged to Wal-Mart at 2665 West Washington for a report of a theft. Theft prevention stated that they had a male subject detained. Upon arrival, an officer asked for a second unit and reported that he had one subject detained after the suspect attempted to flee. The subject detained did have a blue warrant for dangerous drugs and a previous conviction of thefts. The subject was arrested for theft over $100 and under $750 and evading arrest. Great Job!

There was a report of a domestic in progress. A caller advised that a male and female were fighting and that there was glass all over the floor. Deputies and EMS responded to the scene.

There was a report of an assault that occurred. A caller advised that a subject kicked in his front door and struck him in the face. SDP responded to the scene.

There was a report of a two-vehicle traffic accident at the intersection of South Loop and Lillian Street. The roadway was reported to be blocked. One vehicle was reported to be rear-ended. EMS did leave the scene with no transport.

Also just an update on the vehicle vs a pole traffic accident on Ollie Street that was reported on about midnight last night. The driver was arrested for DWI and a wrecker was called for the vehicle.

There was a report of a hit and run accident that occurred at HEB Grocery. This accident happened in the parking lot and it was a phone call for the officer only.

SFD was paged to the Tarleton’s Field at 1909 West Sloan for a report of a smoking vehicle. Fire units were canceled shortly after. The reporting person called and said that the vehicle was just overheating. No Fire

SFD was paged to Tarleton’s Education Building at 1301 Military Drive for a report of a fire alarm sounding. Upon arrival, units reported nothing showing. All floors of the building were searched and nothing was found. Units cleared the scene.

SPD received a call of a female who was flashing a light from a motel window. Officers responded to the scene and reported that everything was 10-4. Units cleared the scene.
