9:44 PM Police Chase
Officers are in pursuit of a vehicle at this time. The vehicle was first reported to be on FM914 near Alexander and came into Stephenville onto the South Loop and then turned onto Lillian Street and then turned onto McNeill Street and back onto Alexander Road southbound and then turned onto the South Loop again. The vehicle has now left Stephenville on US67N heading toward Glen Rose at speeds approaching 100 mph. Somervell County has been contacted. The cause of the pursuit is unknown at this time. DPS and Erath Count deputies are behind the vehicle.

The vehicle has now turned around and is heading back toward Stephenville. They are at SH220 on US67. Avoid the area.
10:00 PM
Passing CR204 at speeds of 60 mph is driving on the wrong side of the road.
10:01 PM
The vehicle has turned on CR138 southbound.
10:02 PM
The vehicle has crossed over FM2481 on CR230.
10:06 pm
The vehicle turned off its lights for a bit but they are back on now. They are on CR 220. Speeds are 60 mph.

CR230 heading toward Selden.

There are in Selden now on FM913.

Spikes are being deployed at US281 and FM913.

The vehicle is now heading south on US281. The spikes were unsuccessful. Speed 95 mph. Hamilton County has been notified.

Passing CR235. Speeds are 90 mph.

Heading west on US6 towards Dublin.

Passing CR248. Speed 75 mph.

Spikes were deployed again and DPS reported that there were successful. At least two tires were damaged and possibly three.

Officer now reports that all the tires look like they are still up. Still heading west on US6 near Alexader. Speed 70 mph.

Officers are not sure if the tires are still up or not. The vehicle is in the Alexander area.

The vehicle is south of Alexander heading south on FM914 near CR263.

Turning on CR543. DPS reports no spikes.

DPS reports that the spikes are now broken. The vehicle is now on CR261.

SPD unit has just crashed thru a fence on CR261. The officer is ok.

Units are on CR289 in the Carlton area. Units have lost visual on the vehicle. This is going to be a white F150.

The vehicle has been spotted again on FM219 near Carlton. It’s back on!

The vehicle is now in Hamilton County on FM1744.

Turned onto CR116 off of FM1744.

It is believed that there is only one occupant in the vehicle. Spikes were unsuccessful.

Officers report that they are on Horizen Dairy.

The vehicle just drove thru a fence on FM219. An officer reports that the vehicle is now off-roading.

Units have eyes on the vehicle and report heavy front-end damage on the truck. The is now back on the dairy. Some units are running out of fuel.

The vehicle is out in a field now.
11:10 PM
Has run thru another fence.
11:17 PM
The vehicle is out driving around with the cows. Officers are on the scene attempting to locate.

Officers report that the vehicle is now stuck and the subject is out on foot.
11:23 PM
Hamilton County reports that the subject is in custody.
11:25 PM
This was a stolen vehicle and the owner will be notified that it is in rough shape.


8:50 PM Dublin
A DPS trooper was in pursuit of a motorcycle. The rider has wrecked on US6 near FM219 in Dublin. The subject has fled the scene. Dublin Fire and EMS have been paged. Lock your doors in Dublin!

8:57 PM
Several agencies are on the scene searching for the suspect. Officers suspect that the suspect is injured. The location is at the intersection of east Blackjack and Clinton.

9:02 PM
The motorcycle has been reported as stolen out of Dallas.

9:15 PM
A shoe and a helmet have been located near the crash scene.

9:26 PM
The suspect has not been captured yet. They are still looking.

9:47 PM
The railroad has been notified of the search going on in the area.

9:50 PM
The subject may be wearing a white shirt and black shorts and shoeless.

10:03 PM
They are still looking for the suspect. If he is located I will update here.

Dublin canine is on the scene.


9:46 PM Dublin

DPD was in pursuit of a vehicle that left the city limits onto FM219N. The vehicle has crashed near the FM2156 and FM219 intersection. EMS has been paged to the scene.

9:52 PM
Dublin Unit on the scene reports that the vehicle had left the roadway at about 80 mph and crash thru a fence.

10:00 PM

An air ambulance has been requested. A landing zone will be set up in a nearby field.

Air Evac is five minutes out and they will be landing south of the accident scene.

It sounded like the helo has lifted and is en route to JPS Fort Worth.


Update for Monday 07/20/2020

These scanner recordings occurred between noon Sunday and 4:00 AM Monday morning:

County (Around Noon)

There was a report of a grass fire on CR185 near FM913. Erath and Selden were paged to the scene. Erath Unit 809 arriving on the scene reported one to two acres on fire with heavy brush. The fire was extinguished.



There was a report of a fight in progress at the School in Morgan Mill. The initial report was that there were several people fighting. Deputies responded to the scene. EMS was requested to the scene to check out a child that had an injured foot. This was reported to be a custody issue.


County (About Midnight)

Dublin PD was in pursuit of a vehicle heading towards Stephenville on US377 northbound. A Deputy reported that the vehicle was reaching speeds of 120 MPH +. The pursuit left US377 onto CR351 and then onto CR385. The vehicle was last reported being seen on CR386. Not for sure but it sounds like the vehicle got away.


County (About Midnight)

There was a report of a possible traffic accident on US6 between Dublin and Stephenville. Comanche County Medical Center did call Comanche County Sheriff’s Office and advised that the driver had already gone to the ER. An Erath Deputy was dispatched and did find the vehicle and requested a DPS Trooper come to the scene. It was also reported that a female passenger from the vehicle was going to transported from CCMC ER.  A flatbed wrecker was called for the vehicle.



SPD arrested a male subject for assault family violence misdemeanor C


Stephenville (Afternoon)

There was a report of a minor traffic in the 2700 block of West Washington near Wal-Mart. There were three vehicles involved with no injuries. The roadway was reported not to be blocked. SPD responded to the scene.



There was a report of a disturbance in the city. SPD received a call of a male and female arguing and was throwing items out of an apartment. The male subject had left the scene before officers arrived.

Pursuit on I20 westbound.

12:33 AM Pursuit in Progress.
There is currently a pursuit in progress coming into Erath County on Interstate 20 westbound. DPS unit 410 is in position to set out spikes at the SH108 bridge.

DPS reports that spikes were unsuccessful.

The pursuit has entered Erath County.

The vehicle is reportedly driving in the center of both lanes.

DPS reported that the vehicle did drive over the spikes.

The vehicle has entered Eastland County westbound.

The vehicle is passing traffic on the right-hand shoulder.

DPS reports that the vehicle has stopped at mile marker 359. This is near the roadside park.

Officers will be out with the suspect at this time.

The subject is in custody and a wrecker has been called for a white Crown Victoria.

Update for Friday 02/08/2019

These scanner calls occurred between 2:00 PM Thursday and 2:00 AM Friday morning.



There was a report of a disturbance at an apartment complex. A caller reported that a male subject was heard throwing things around an apartment. Officers responded to the scene and reported that no one would answer the door. The apartment was entered and Officers did not find anyone inside but drug paraphernalia was found and seized.



There was a report of a fight in progress on Lingleville Road. Four males were reported to be fighting. Officers responded to the scene running code. Officers reported that the subjects that were fighting had already left the scene in two separate vehicles.



A caller advised that some banged on her door and left the scene. An Officer responded to the scene to talk to the reporting party.



There was a report of a burglary of a vehicle that occurred in the county. A report was taken.



There was a report of a disturbance on CR351. Deputies responded to the scene and reported that had the subjects involved separated. I did not hear of an arrest.



There was a report a male subject that was waving a gun out of a sunroof on a vehicle. This vehicle was reported to have been heading into Erath County from Tolar on US377. Deputies were advised to keep a lookout for the vehicle.



There was a report a pursuit on US281N near Morgan Mill. The vehicle left US281 and headed northbound on FM1189 after the driver turned off his lights. The vehicle turned left at the FM1188/ FM1189 split and headed to Lipan. The vehicle was passing in no passing zones along the way. The vehicle left Erath County and entered Hood County and contact with the vehicle was lost in near Lipan. I never did hear if the vehicle was relocated.

Update: The vehicle was found the next day in Lipan abandoned. The driver was long gone.

Update for Friday 01/04/2019

These scanner calls occurred between 1:00 PM Thursday and 2:00 AM Friday



SPD was paged to Walmart for a report of a theft. I did not hear of an arrest.



SPD was paged to a residence for a report of a cat in bathtub. The animal was taken to the shelter. (Yea I know but it was slow night)



Erath Fire was paged to a location on FM108N for a report of a Gator ATV that was on fire. A caller advised that a structure was threatened. Units arriving on the scene reported one pickup and a Gator fully involved.



A Deputy was attempting to make a traffic stop and the vehicle decided to run for it. The vehicle was northbound on US377 with speeds reported to be in excess of 100 mph. The vehicle did decide to stop just near the county line. Hood County did send a Deputy for backup. No arrest was made.



DPS arrested a subject for operating a vehicle with a wrong license plate and registration. A wrecker was called.

(Pursuit in Progress) Comanche County is in pursuit of a vehicle. The last known location is on CR312. Speeds are up to 100 mph. The vehicle is heading east on US377 heading toward Dublin. Erath County units are en route if they enter the county.
4:44 PM
The vehicle has just left Procter and is reported to be northbound on US377. Speeds are reported to be 110 mph.
4:46 PM
Units report they will be setting spikes at the county line.
4:47 PM
The vehicle is entering Erath County. Watch out Dublin.
4:48 PM
Comanche PD and Comanche SO and Dublin are following behind the vehicle at this time.
4:50 PM
The vehicle is stopped at the US6 and 377 Loop under the overpass. The subjects are in custody.
5:03 PM
Dublin EMS and Fire are on the scene.
5:06 PM
There are reported to be four DPS and several Deputies. Traffic will be slow in the area.
5:37 PM
Dublin Fire has cleared the scene.

Police Chase

Just before 8 AM this morning a DPS attempted to stop a white Ford flatbed pickup on US337S when the driver of the vehicle decided to run. The pickup left US377S and turned on CR258 with speeds reaching 70 MPH. The vehicle was reported to be three occupants. The vehicle turned west on CR279 with speed of 45 MPH. The vehicle turned on CR516 and ended back up on US377 heading north with speeds of 60 MPH driving on the shoulder of the road. The vehicle appeared to have a smoking wheel. The vehicle did come to a stop on US377N just across from the Erath Iron and Metal. One subject had multiple warrants. There was a stolen gun in the vehicle. One subject was arrested for the warrants and a second subject was arrested for a stolen firearm. The third subject was arrested and I did not hear the charge. This information was recorded while I was away from the scanner.

High-speed pursuit
Stephenville PD is attempting to pull over a vehicle near Creekside on Lingleville RD

The vehicle is on N 281 traveling at speeds of 100 mph

This driver is possibly intoxicated. He is driving on the wrong side of the road and is unable to maintain lane.

10:19 pm They are on FM 1188 headed westbound

10:22 pm Two are in custody.
