Lingleville

There was a report of a single-vehicle rollover traffic accident on FM8W near Lingleville in the 15000 block. Erath and Lingleville Fire were paged to the location. The unit on the scene reported that everyone was out of the vehicle with no injuries. EMS did clear the scene with no transport with two patient refusals. A wrecker was called.

There was a report of a traffic accident on US377 on the Dublin Loop near where South Patrick meets the loop. This was a two-vehicle accident with no injuries reported in the northbound lane. The roadway was reported to have been blocked. Two wreckers were called.

There was a report of a single-vehicle rollover on US377N near the roadside park. The vehicle was reported to be in the ditch and a female subject was reported to still be inside. Erath Fire was paged to the location. EMS did clear the scene with no transport with one patient refusal. The vehicle was reported to have been totaled and a wrecker was called.

There was a report of a disturbance. A caller advised that an ex-girlfriend came to a residence to get some things. The caller and the female got into an argument and the female came back to the scene with a golf club and started hitting things in the house and did strike the caller in the back. The female had left the scene and the caller wanted to talk to a deputy. The caller stated that EMS was not needed. A deputy did respond to the location.

There was a report of a disturbance. A caller advised that a male and a female subject were fighting and that the male subject had kicked a door. Officers responded to the location and located both subjects and reported that nothing physical occurred and cleared the scene.

SFD was paged to Oak Tree West Apartments at 2251 West Lingleville Road for a reported fire on a stove. Units arriving on the scene reported no smoke or fire showing. The fire was reported to have been out upon arrival of fire units.

There was a report of a theft at a local business. The caller advised that an employee had stolen and that they were going to be dismissing the employee and filing charges. An officer responded and took a report.

SFD was paged to the intersection of South Groesbeck and South Lillian for a subject that was burning in a fire pit. A fire unit reported that the fire was put out.

Update for Tuesday 12/29/2020

A caller advised that a neighbors dogs came onto their property and injured a pony. A deputy responded to the location.

There was a report of an assault. A caller advised that a male subject has assaulted both of his parents. Deputies responded to the location.

A caller reported that they found two handguns along a fence line in the 2800 block of West Frey. Officers responded to the location and located the guns. One was a Smith and Wesson 357 magnum and the other was a Sig 40 cal. An officer took custody of the guns and transported the weapons to SPD.

Disturbance

Stephenville
Early Monday morning there was a report of a disturbance at 1280 West Long Street. A caller advised that they could hear screaming and that things were being thrown around in an apartment. Officers responded to the location and reported that a glass had been broken out and that there was blood on the window and that there was someone inside. The officer on the scene asked for backup and for a door ram. An officer did report that they heard a possible sound of a shotgun being racked and that they could see a shadow of a subject possibly crawling inside. An officer asked for Long Street to be blocked off. After a standoff, an officer reported that that male subject was in custody and that he did have a cut on his right arm. EMS was staged nearby and did transport one subject to Stephenville ER. Erath County Deputies assisted with this call. I did not hear of any charges.




Update for Sunday 12/27/2020

These scanner calls occurred between 10 pm Friday to 10 pm Saturday.

There was a report of a grass fire on CR417 and FM2303 for a grass fire. Erath and Lingleville Fire were paged to the location. Unit arriving on the scene reported about four acres on fire in a coastal field. Units arriving on the scene reported a heavy fuel load.

There was a report of an electric pole that was on fire on PR1652 off of CR209. Erath and Selden Fire was paged top the scene.

There was a report of a disturbance. A caller advised that a family member was in a residence and was throwing things around. Officers responded to the location.

There was a report of a semi-truck that took out a stop sign and a telephone pole at the intersection of Mason and Graham Street. An officer witnessed this and stopped the vehicle. Oncor Energy was paged to the location.

SFD was paged non-emergency to Mimosa Lane. A caller advised that there was a fire on a vent hood over a stove and that they wanted to have it checked out.

Grass Fire

Report of a grass fire on CR359 between Stephenville and Dublin. A caller reports that the fire is near a residence. Fire Units are en route.

Reports are that the fore has crossed CR351. Harbin Fire and Lingleville have been paged.

LIngleville uNit on the scene reports that they believe that they have to fire held up on the west side of the road. And there could be an electrical line that is down.

This fire is reported to be put out at this time.




Possible Shooting

Stephenville

In the early morning hours, a caller reported to 911 that a subject was attempting to break into his residence on West Long Street at Texan Townhomes. The caller also stated the subject was growling at him. Officers responded to the location and reported that they found a large amount of fresh blood around the doorway, on the door jam, and the window seal. Officers made entry to the residence and reported that found an unused 9 MM round on the kitchen floor and drips of blood all throughout the residence and that no one was found in the residence. Stephenville ER was notified to be on the lookout in case a gunshot victim showed up. There was a reported blood trail in the carport and officers did search the area but were not able to locate anyone not even the caller. EMS was paged to stage nearby until the scene was secure but was later disregarded. Erath Count Deputies assisted with this call.




Vehicle Fire

6:49 PM
There is a report of a vehicle that is on fire on CR293 off of FM914. DPS is on the scene at this time and reports that the vehicle is fully engulfed. There is no report of passengers at this time.

The fire unit on the scene reports that one truck can handle this and incoming units have been canceled. The roadway is reported to be completely blocked and a wrecker has been called.




Update for Christmas Eve 2020

These scanner calls occurred between 10 pm Tuesday to 10 pm Wednesday.

There was a report of Fraud. A caller advised that someone had applied for social security benefits using their social security number and the caller wanted to talk to a deputy.

There was a report of a grass fire on FM1189 near the split with FM1188. The initial report was that the fire was near some houses and all persons were reported to be out of the residencies. Erath, Bluff Dale, and Morgan Mill fire were paged to the scene. The Fire Marshall was also requested to respond. I did not hear of any structural damage.

There was a report of a grass fire on CR398. Erath and Lingleville Fire were paged to the location. This was reported to be 3 to 4 acres on fire and it was getting close to some residences. Units arriving on the scene reported that the property owner already had the fire out. Units were going to remain on the scene for some mop-up.

There was a report of a traffic accident on US281N near CR434. The caller advised that a truck and trailer were involved and had rolled over. Medic One arriving on the scene reported one vehicle off the roadway with moderate damage. All persons were reported to be out. Medic one did clear the scene with no transport with three AMA.

There was a report of a minor traffic accident in the parking lot of the ATT Store at 2811 West Washington. A caller advised that they had struck an electrical box in the parking lot. An officer responded.

There was a report of a motorcycle accident at the intersection of US67 and US377. The motorcycle was in the Don Nicos parking lot. Medic Two on the scene reported one subject lying on the ground. EMS did clear the scene with no transport.

An officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested a female subject who had a warrant out of Erath County for DWI. Bonus charges were added for resisting arrest and public intoxication.

There was a report of a two-vehicle traffic accident at the intersection of Lillian and Washington Streets. No injuries were reported but EMS was paged to check out a pregnant female.

SFD was paged to the Edge Apartments in the 1000 block of West Washington for a commercial fire alarm. This turned out to be a false alarm. The maintenance crew on the scene was working on the alarm.

There was a report of a theft. A caller advised that a neighbor was poking holes in the hood and were stealing diesel. A deputy responded.

There was a report of a grass fire on CR408. Erath and Lingleville were paged to the location. Units arriving on the scene reported 10 acres on fire with heavy fuel load and it was moving quickly.

There was a report of a traffic accident at 1015 West Washington near Clinton Street. A caller reported that a vehicle had flipped and was on the sidewalk. The unit on the scene reported a white Jeep that was on its roof. The officer on the scene reported that there was a guide wire support that was broken. EMS did clear the scene with no transport. A wrecker was called.

SFD was paged to Bluebonnet Apartment at 100 Bluebonnet Street for a report of smoke coming from an apartment. The caller reported that they could hear a smoke alarm going off. Officers on the scene reported that they searched the apartment and found the sounding fire alarm but could not locate any fire or smoke. This turned out to be a low battery on the fire detector.

Officers conducted a traffic stop and arrested a subject for DWI. The subject also had possession of drug paraphernalia. A wrecker was called.

SFD was paged to Domino’s Pizza at 2758 West Washington for a reported gas leak. A construction had hit a gas line that was behind the building. Atmos Energy was contacted.

There was a report of a minor traffic accident at the Bosque Crossing Apartments. A vehicle has struck a pillar in the garage on the third floor. No injuries were reported.

There was a report of an accident in the Saint Gobain parking lot. An employee was reported to have been run by their own vehicle that was left in neutral. The subject was complaining of shoulder, back, arm, and leg pain. EMS was paged to the location and transported the patient to the Stephenville ER.

There was a report of a vehicle vs a hay bale that fell off an eighteen-wheeler on US281S at FM1824. A caller reported that the entire front end of the Ford Mustang was missing. First Responders were paged to the scene. EMS did clear the scene with no transport. Two AMA.

There was a report of a hit and run traffic accident at the intersection of Graham and Washington. An officer responded to the location and located the vehicle and the diver who tried to run into a back yard. The subject was arrested for DWI, evading arrest, and duty upon striking.

There was a report of a burglary. A caller reported that a television, a shower curtain, a survival pack was missing and that the garage had been rummaged thru. An officer responded.

There was a report of a female subject that was breaking stuff inside an apartment. The subject had left the scene priors to the officer’s arrival. The subject was located and arrested for public intoxication.

SFD was paged to Cash Plus Pawn at 2810 West Washington for a reported gas leak. A vehicle has hit a gas tank and it was leaking natural gas. Units on the scene reported that this was a busted pipe and that they could not plug it.  The gas was cut off to the building and Atmos Energy was contacted.

There was a report of a hit and run traffic accident near Aldi’s at 2865 West Washington. No injuries were reported. An officer responded and located the fleeing vehicle in the Wal-Mart parking lot.
