Update for Wednesday 12/23/2020
These scanner calls occurred between 10 pm Monday to 10 pm Tuesday.
There was a report of a theft. A caller advised that a neighbor was poking holes in the hood and were stealing diesel. A deputy responded.
There was a report of a grass fire on CR408. Erath and Lingleville were paged to the location. Units arriving on the scene reported 10 acres on fire with heavy fuel load and it was moving quickly.
There was a report of a traffic accident at 1015 West Washington near Clinton Street. A caller reported that a vehicle had flipped and was on the sidewalk. The unit on the scene reported a white Jeep that was on its roof. The officer on the scene reported that there was a guide wire support that was broken. EMS did clear the scene with no transport. A wrecker was called.
SFD was paged to Bluebonnet Apartment at 100 Bluebonnet Street for a report of smoke coming from an apartment. The caller reported that they could hear a smoke alarm going off. Officers on the scene reported that they searched the apartment and found the sounding fire alarm but could not locate any fire or smoke. This turned out to be a low battery on the fire detector.
Stephenville 10:15 pm
Officers conducted a traffic stop and arrested a subject for DWI. The subject also had possession of drug paraphernalia. A wrecker was called.
SFD was paged to Domino’s Pizza at 2758 West Washington for a reported gas leak. A construction had hit a gas line that was behind the building. Atmos Energy was contacted.
There was a report of a minor traffic accident at the Bosque Crossing Apartments. A vehicle has struck a pillar in the garage on the third floor. No injuries were reported.
There was a report of an accident in the Saint Gobain parking lot. An employee was reported to have been run by their own vehicle that was left in neutral. The subject was complaining of shoulder, back, arm, and leg pain. EMS was paged to the location and transported the patient to the Stephenville ER.
