Erath Update for Saturday 10/03/2020

County

There was a report of a shipping container that was on fire on CR236. Erath and Hico Fire were paged to the scene. Hico unit on the scene reported that the fire was almost out. Erath units were canceled.

County 5:00 pm

There was a report of a three-vehicle traffic accident at the intersection of US281S and SH108S. There was a report of injuries and roadway blockage. Erath Medic 1 and 2 did clear the scene with no transport.

County 4:30 pm

There was a report of a one-vehicle accident on CR518 about one mile off Lingleville Road. A caller advised that the vehicle did rollover but no one was injured. Units arriving on the scene reported one vehicle on its side. EMS did leave the scene with no transport. A wrecker was called.

There was a report of a vehicle vs a deer traffic accident in the 2500 block of West Lingleville Road near Higginbotham’s. No injuries were reported and the deer ran off.

There was a report of a disturbance. A male reportedly took a female’s phone. Officers responded to the scene and arrested the subject for interference with a 911 call.

There was a report of a hit and run. A caller advised that a fence was hit on Paddock Street. An officer responded.

There was a report of a minor four-vehicle traffic accident in the 2700 block of West Washington in front Pack and Mail. The roadway was reported to be blocked for a brief time. No injuries were reported.

Officers performed a traffic stop and arrested a male subject for DWI. There were open containers in the vehicle and the subject did have a prior DWI arrest.

There was a report of a domestic disturbance. A caller advised that her boyfriend was in her house and was intoxicated and threatening the caller. The caller had locked herself in the bathroom and the subject was attempting to get in. An officer responded to the location and arrested the male subject for Class C Assault.

There was a report of criminal mischief. A caller advised that she was driving down Ollie Street and that a male subject from a large party that was going on jumped out and broke her mirror when he slapped at it. An officer contacted the caller.

Officer responded to a disturbance on Hyman Street. Two male subjects were reported yelling in a front yard. Both subjects were arrested for public intoxication.
