Update for Sunday 09/13/2020

These scanner recordings occurred between Saturday and Sunday mornings.

A caller reported that they had seen a red painted sign in the window of a neighbor’s house that said “HELP” and that there was a sign on the front door that stated, “Do Not Enter”. A deputy responded to the scene and reported that everything was fine. The house was being decorated for Halloween a little early.

There was a report of a domestic disturbance that was physical. A caller reported that she got out of a vehicle and was walking down the road with her husband following behind in a vehicle. The male reported grabbed the caller’s arm. Deputies responded to the location.

DPD was on the scene at an address on Clinton Street. There was a report of a male subject that had bailed out of a moving vehicle and ran into a residence and the officer was attempting to get the subject out. Deputies responded to the location for backup and cleared the scene. I did not hear if officers were able to get the subject out of the residence but it sounds like they did.

There was a report of a minor traffic accident in the P33 parking lot. One car backed into another. TPD responded.

There was a report of harassment at Honors Hall and Texan Village Apartments. TPD responded to both locations.

Officers were paged to Schlotzkys Restaurant at 2012 West Washington for a report of a fight in progress. A caller advised that one of the males was bleeding. Both subjects were reported to have gotten into a vehicle and left the scene before officers could arrive.

There was a report of a theft. A caller advised that she lost her phone in the parking lot at Wal-Mart and reported that a bystander saw two males pick it up and the caller was tracing the phone at the time. An officer contacted the caller.

There was a report of criminal mischief. A caller advised that they backed over a beer bottle that resulted in a flat tire. The caller thought that they might know who put the bottle there and wanted to talk to an officer to discuss filing charges.

There was a report of a major traffic accident in the 2900 block of West Washington in front of Taco Casa. The initial report was that a pickup truck pulling a horse trailer had flipped on its side. EMS on the scene reported two vehicles involved with one of them on its side and that there were still subjects inside the vehicles. Both eastbound lanes of travel were reported to be blocked. Unit 331 reported that there was not any entrapment. EMS Units 329 and 330 both cleared the scene with no transport. A wrecker was called for the pickup and the trailer that was on its side. The trailer was reported to have a family of hogs inside and the hitch was reported to be broke on the trailer. Another wrecker was called for the second vehicle.

There was a report of a disturbance at a local restaurant. A female subject was reported to be causing trouble about not wanting to wear a mask. All SPD officers were tied up with the above accident and dispatch asked for a Tarleton Officer to respond to this call. The Tarleton officer reported that the parties were told to leave.

There was a report of a female subject that was supposed to have checked out of a motel room at 11:00 AM in the morning. The caller who worked behind the desk reported that the female refused to leave and would not answer the phone in the room or the door. An officer responded to the location.

There was a report of a threat. A caller reported that he was receiving threatening text messages that were stating that a subject was going to kidnap his daughter and shoot the caller. An officer did contact the reporting person by phone.

SFD was paged to the 2200 block of South Loop near Tumbleweed Barbeque for a report of a vehicle that was on fire. Fire Unit 334 on the scene reported that the roadway was clear. The fire unit did report that they did put the fire was out and they were mopping up hot spots.

There was a report of a disturbance at to carnival in Bosque River Center. A caller advised that there about 20 to 30 teens near Dollar Tree that were threatening to fight and that some that threatened to pull guns and knives. Officers responded to the location and walked the area and reported that there was nothing actively going on. Units did clear the scene.

There was a report of criminal mischief. A caller advised that their neighbors kept coming over and breaking bottles in their driveway. Officers responded to the location.
