Update for Tuesday 01/08/2019
These scanner calls occurred between 2:00 P Monday and 2:00 AM Tuesday morning.
There was a report of a traffic accident in the 200 block of East South Loop. This was reported to be a single vehicle motorcycle accident. SPD and EMS were paged to the scene. Units on the scene reported that the rider did not have any injuries.
SFD was paged to Caporal Drive for a report of a transformer that was arcing. Firemen on the scene requested that the Emerson Electric building next door be evacuated. Oncor was notified and they advised that the firemen stay at least 35 foot away from the scene until they arrived. The pole on the scene was reported to be smoking from the ground. SFD reported that there was a very small grass fire associated with the call. The Railroad was notified and was requested not to let any trains come thru. There were reports of power outages in at the intersections of Washington and Lillian Streets and at Washington and Alexander road. These outages were thought to be associated with this call. The power was eventually shut off at the pole. Emerson Electric and the Railroad were notified that the scene was clear.
There was a report of a physical disturbance in the city. A suspect reportedly punched another subject. SPD responded to the scene. One male subject was arrested for assault family violence. The subject did have three prior convictions for family violence.
SPD performed a traffic stop and arrested a subject that had a warrant out of Hood County for theft under $2500.
There was a report of a grass fire on FM205 just outside of the city limits. This fire was reported to be in the ditch next to the roadway. Units arriving on the scene reported that there were multiple grass fires next to the roadway. SFD was paged to the scene but was later disregarded.
There was a report of a grass fire on CR419. Erath, Lingleville and Huckabay Fire were paged to the scene.
EMS was paged to a location on US377 between Dublin and Stephenville for a report of a female patient that was having trouble breathing. She was in her vehicle parked on the side of the road. Dublin EMS did transport the patient to Stephenville ER.
There was a report of a vehicle that went thru a fence on FM847. I did hear of any injuries.
