Just before 8 AM this morning a DPS attempted to stop a white Ford flatbed pickup on US337S when the driver of the vehicle decided to run. The pickup left US377S and turned on CR258 with speeds reaching 70 MPH. The vehicle was reported to be three occupants. The vehicle turned west on CR279 with speed of 45 MPH. The vehicle turned on CR516 and ended back up on US377 heading north with speeds of 60 MPH driving on the shoulder of the road. The vehicle appeared to have a smoking wheel. The vehicle did come to a stop on US377N just across from the Erath Iron and Metal. One subject had multiple warrants. There was a stolen gun in the vehicle. One subject was arrested for the warrants and a second subject was arrested for a stolen firearm. The third subject was arrested and I did not hear the charge. This information was recorded while I was away from the scanner.
Great job once again by our Law Enforcement!
